Kick off the 2011 Alberta Health and Safety Conference with the HSCSA 2K Fun Walk or Run (5K)! The event, sponsored by 3M, will help the Threads of Life organization support families affected by workplace injury and illness! Join your fellow conference participants as they walk, stroll, jog or run on the urban trail along the beautiful Bow River. This year, the $ 20 entry fee provides a walk/run package that includes a commemorative toque for the first 50 participants. There will be refreshments served after the walk / run and all participant names will also be entered for draw prizes donated by local sponsors. Support a cause you are passionate about – the prevention of workplace injury and illness!
Join us Monday, October 24th, for a start time of 9:00 AM at the Eau Claire Market in downtown Calgary. Those registered for the event prior to October 12th will receive an information package with more details via e-mail. Already registered for the conference but would like to join the walk/run event? Contact Carrie Kleppe via email by clicking here or register from 8:00 to 8:30 AM the morning of the event. Remember though, the earlier you register, the better your chances of getting one of the limited 3M/ HSCSA toques! CRSP INFORMATION SESSION OPEN TO REGISTERED ATTENDEES - posted 01-Sep-11
How do you obtain your CRSP? That is a good question. For many years the Calgary Chapter of the CSSE has helped people to find their way through the maze of applications, study group participation and preparation courses. It can be confusing.
In this lunch-hour session we will explain the process that a person follows to go from “good intentioned ordinary health and safety citizen” to CRSP. We will discuss the application process, the structure and value of study groups and list and discuss all of the CRSP prep courses and other tools that are available to candidates to help them prepare. This drop-in session is open to registered delegates only and is being held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, October 25th in the Quarter Horse room.
